Cashmere

I bought this beautiful skein of yarn at the Alexander palace knitting and stitch show. It is a yearly event that I have been going with nez for at least 13 years.

This year I didn't take any pictures I was far to busy searching for yarn. I bought a few bits and I will show you what I got as soon as I unpack my trolley. Yes, that's right I take the ugliest trolley with me to help me carry my yarn.i would never normally use a trolley but for a serious yarn events like ally pally I need all the help I can get so the trolley comes in very handy carrying all my yarn.

Last night I wound one skein of this deliciously soft cashmere.i bought it from jade sapphire exotic fibres. It is Mongolian cashmere 100% 55g 400 yards in a shade called cousin coral. It is such a vivid red .

I made up the pattern and I will be writing the pattern out soon. The skein with my pattern doesn't produce a large enough shawl for me so I added a beaded border in a silk and cashmere yarn that I had in my stash . The border is edged with deep red Swarovski crystals .Even if I say so myself it looks fabulous it is blocking as I write this post. i can't wait to wear it. Sometimes you can buy a yarn and you know instinctively what it will become.the hook flows effortlessly through the yarn . It took about four hours and I'm really thrilled . I'm tired and my fingers ache.i going to message them with some soothing hand cream and it's goodnite from me
