Plastic bag Vase

In.These granny squares started life as nappy sacks , I love this pattern.http://stricksucht.de/fertig/haekelbeutel3.php .it has been in my queue for such a long time. I cut the nappy sacks into strips all joined together to create a ball of''yarn" Working with the 'yarn' is pretty easy. The beauty of it is that it's cheap and its a really nice change from yarn. It also comes in a delightful array of colours.
Sixteen granny squares later you line up them into a cross and then with some clever stitching
this shape emerges, it you are making the bag ,all that is needed are the long handles. Somehow when you start joining you might panic because it all seems not quite right, however this emerges.

I really didnt want to make it into a bag and this is what I've come up with, a colourful vase/ pot holder. This could made to match your decor, its waterproof. You either love it or hate it.
A hectic weekend left me frazzled and the only thing to soothe the soul, a dozen donuts . One moment on the lips and lifetime on the hips but who cares, sometimes only a dunkin donut or two will do. And yes they were very good!!!
