Better late than never

I'm not sure whether I've blogged about having my pattern published but its true ,its been submitted and "the man from Del Monte says yes".Sorry, I'm not sure there is anyone out there who still remembers that advert,it was quite a catch line in its day. I'm pleased as punch as it has always been an ambition of mine.I want to shout it from the rooftops, but I'll settle for bloggerland.(Is there anyone there?)

This is my brothers Xmas pressie take 2.. Scarf 1 the yarn had lots of knotted bits that I couldn't weave in. Please note, its the fault of the manufacturers. This is something I've discussed with members of London crochet meet up. We all said that we were finding knots in the middle of the yarn .It is so frustrating there should be some sort of regulation. Yarn isn't cheap we pay good money for it and we should have a product that is knot free.I do appreciate that there might be some reason for it ,it would however be nice to be informed. Then at least we could take it or leave it.

O.K rant over, here is finished scarf made in Rowan Felted tweed, its really lovely to handle and its perfect for the wintry days ahead. Its crocheted.I've made one for hubbie, bro, and one that sits in tissue paper, its own little box, free from dust ready for me to peek at and feel a sense of pride.

  2. Helda, congratulations on being a published knitter/crocheter! What lovely news to start the new Year. I love the colours in the scarf as they look really earthy. Oh and yes, I remember the man from Del Monte!
