Im on the cover of Inside Crochet

I'm on the cover of Inside crochet ,not the stunning lady(I wish) rather my pattern is. Whoopee,!!!! what a wonderful Christmas present for me. It is such a thrilling moment when the magazine pops through the letterbox and one of my patterns is inside. Once again the styling is stunning. The model is very pretty, she wears it so very well. The team at Inside crochet are doing a fabulous job.

This pattern is called Corrugated scarf  .The inspiration for this is my grandmothers outhouse in the Seychelles. I remember visiting as a child and I had never seen an outhouse and I loved that fact you could go to the loo and watch all the wildlife and stunning scenery of course modern toilets have replaced these but I will never forget it. So this scarf comes from humble origins.

The pattern  features lace holes and beautiful scalloped edge  frames it beautifully. It is made in DK weight Rowan pure wool ,one of my favourite yarns .

I am so happy I've had to celebrate with a wee tipple or two and a few of Hestons festive mince pies with pine sugar . Delicious.

  7. Hello, I ordered the Malabrigo Rios Arco Iris 866 yarn from e-bay to make the cowl and it does not look the same as on the picture in the Inside Crochet Magazine where the colours look much brighter and the one I have does not even have some of the colours -like pink- in it. I think I am going to send it back as I wanted to make a cowl similar to the one in the magazine.I know that this is a hand-dyed yarn and different batches can be slighly different but this looks much more different. What do you think? Edith
