Last nite i spent two hours crocheting a hat for myself and i'm really pleased i didn't follow a pattern i free formed i'd been reading James Walters, crochet workshop and decided that i would free form and see what happened. It started life as a strip that i measured around the circumference of my head, i joined it , turned it and then double crochet decreasing whenever i felt it needed it.The end result is this ,and i'm pleased as punch. I made a large freeformed flower and placed a button in center.all this from reading a book . god, i love crochet, tonite i'm going to read how to meet and marry a millionaire, well a girl can dream.
