Free Form Apple Tart
packet of puff pastry,apricot jam 4tbsp,4 eating apple, juice of 1 lemon, 4tbsp of demerara sugar
Packet of puff pastry, rolled out and cut into four rectangles prick the base, as this prevents it from rising. Place in fridge pastry is better if cold.
1 apple per person, thiinly sliced, a little lemon juice prevents discolouration.
Take pastry out of fridge, and spread with the apricot jam, arrange the slices of apple in whatever way you like, sprinkle on the sugar.
Place on a baking sheet. bake untill golden brown.
Viola, eat with creme fraiche, vanilla ice cream, or creme anglaise, that's good olde custard to you and me
